MEET ROBIN POOLE
Robin Poole is a proud native of Midland, Texas, where she currently serves on the City Council as an At-Large Councilwoman.
Raised by a single mother, Robin saw the value of sacrifice, determination, and hard work from a young age. She carried these lessons into her education at Legacy High School. As an active member of the debate team, Robin fell in love with public speaking, politics, and the art of communication. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and minor in History from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
The lessons she learned early in life shaped the woman and leader Robin is today. Honesty, integrity, and humility are the cornerstones of Robin’s life. These values provide a framework for common sense solutions to the problems faced by the citizens of Midland as Robin seeks to represent the entire city.
Robin currently serves as the liaison for the Midland International Airport Planning and Development Board, as well as the Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Board.
Robin is raising three wonderful kids alongside her husband David. Outside of city-related business, Robin serves on the board of Teen F.L.O.W. Youth Ministries.
ROBIN POOLE IS FIGHTING FOR OUR VALUES
Midlanders are known for their grit and dedication. Our citizens work hard to earn every dollar in their pockets. It is critical that the Midland City Council respect that hard work and ensure every taxpayer dollar that is spent is done so efficiently. Every project and initiative should be evaluated and planned to eliminate wasteful spending and improve the lives of Midland residents. Robin has never voted for a tax increase and had always sought to safeguard taxpayer dollars.
Government is meant to serve the needs of the community, not burden residents with high taxes to increase revenue. Projects should be streamlined, and wasteful spending should be cut to ensure the City can conduct its business; taxes should not be increased. Robin has never voted for a tax increase.
The City Council is responsible for providing services to all Midland residents. With over 134,000 residents, city services must be delivered efficiently, and problems must be addressed promptly. Having an experienced councilmember like Robin will guarantee continual improvement.
